Company Dancers are ambassadors of MAD. This program gives students the platform to access rigorous yet fun dance training. Company dancers may be required to attend at least one regional and one national competition to gain experience and skills that require responsibility, leadership, and sportsmanship. In addition to competition, company dancers may be asked to participate in local performance opp ortunities t o help build c haracter and c onfidence as w ell as danc e w orkshops to allow them to become well rounded dancers.

*Company dancers may be by invited by the directors or any instructor that represents MAD as a program. If your child wishes to become a company dancer, they may schedule an interview as well as a closed private audition with the directors.

Mini MAD Requirements: Ages 4 to 7

  • Beginning to intermediate knowledge in dance
  • Beginning knowledge and capability in acrobatics/gymnastics
  • Fast ability to learn choreography
  • Flexibility in both legs and back
  • Right and left split

Skill examples:

  • 1 clean pirouette to 4th or 6th position
  • Right leg Saut De Chat in a medium to high level from the floor
  • Leg hold with at least one leg

Junior MAD Requirements: Ages 8 to 12

  • Intermediate to advance knowledge in dance
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge and capability in acrobatics/gymnastics
  • Fast ability to learn choreography
  • Flexibility in both legs and back
  • Right and left split
  • Middle split

Skills examples:

  • 2 clean pirouettes to 4th or 6th position
  • Right leg Saut De Chat in a high level from the floor
  • Leg hold with at least one leg
